January is School Board Recognition Month and Baker Elementary would like to take this opportunity to thank our local leaders for devoting time to support public education and serve our local schools.
Baker is planning a special recognition for the Board on the January 16th Board Meeting. We feel they are truly "the recipe to our success"!

PHS production of Oklahoma! the musical is coming!
Calling all Cowboys and Cowgirls! This is a time to have fun and sweet with the Cowboys and Cowgirls from the PHS theatre production of OKLAHOMA!

Come see our Cowboys shooting it out in a gun fight over the prettiest girl in the south. We have singing and dancing from some of the best cowboys and cowgirls that PHS has to offer for your entertainment. YOU will get to prac-tice your roping skills on our longhorn and scoot your boots over to our Horseshoe pit to practice tossing some shoes. Have your own singing voice ready as you take a stroll and sing all your favorite campfire songs but be careful, you never know what may await you at the other end. Make sure you are dressed in your western finest as there will be a photo op for all lil' cowboys and cowgirls that will be sent home that day! There will be so many fun activities that total five different stations of Western experienc-es all for $10 a ticket. Tickets will be sold at the same dates as tickets for the production. Now y'all make sure and purchase your tickets early so that we can save a spot just for you. We have only a limited number of tickets for each event.

Saturday, January 28th – 4 pm
Friday, February 3rd – 4 pm
Event starts at 4pm and tickets will not be sold after 5pm and is over at 5:15 or whenever you have had your fill of all our western fun!
This contest ends on Feb 24. Collection sheets will be sent home weekly! Updates will be sent to teachers regularly. The Box Tops that you clip from General Mills product packaging will count in the contest.
Box Tops earned online through www.BoxTops4Education.com cannot be included in the contest, but will benefit Baker when they post to our account.

You or your child can complete an online, anonymous bullying report. As always you can report the incident directly to the school; however, the online report is available for your family.

· Then click on the third blue tab called “View or Change School”.
· To view Baker Elementary, enter either McKinney, TX 75071 or ID# 125461.
· To change your school to Baker, enter your Redcard account number.
